於初步抗發炎活性篩選實驗結果中,盾柱木及長葉豇豆之甲醇與氯仿分畫層具有顯著抑制超氧陰離子及彈性蛋白酶釋放的活性。因此本研究針對盾柱木及長葉豇豆中的生理活性成分進行純化及鑑定。利用各種層析方法,總共從盾柱木及長葉豇豆分別純化得到54及75個化合物,其中分別包含2及5個新化合物,其結構式為利用各種光譜與質譜方法確認。分離得到的已知化合物則經由比對物理及光譜數據確認其結構。另外抗發炎活性測試結果顯示化合物43、44、47、48、51與52具有顯著的抑制超氧陰離子的生成活性,而化合物40、43、47、48及52能抑制彈性蛋白酶的釋放。另一方面,化合物39及41則增強由CB刺激的人類嗜中性白血球中彈性

蛋白酶的釋放。這些結果顯示,盾柱木及長葉豇豆具有成為天然抗發炎先導藥物的潛力。近年來有許多保健食品如雨後春筍般接連上市。但少有文獻報導其生理活性成分及其所聲稱的保健效果。因此在本研究針對沉香及松屬植物中的生理活性成分進行純化分離,分別從沉香葉及華山松與五葉松之針葉中分離鑑定得到23、11及13個化合物。將這些分離得到的化合物當作標準品,針對上述植物製成的生技產品利用液相層析串聯質譜儀開發新的分析方法。超高效液相層析儀的分析條件與串聯質譜儀利用多重反應監控模式的分析參數都順利完成優化,分析方法也具有好的線性、精確度、與準確度。據此,數個沉香葉製成的沉香茶樣品加以分析所具有的活性成分含量。由上述結

果顯示,質譜分析方法可以用來分析活性成分與監控生技產品的品質。
