臺灣國中生英語搭配詞知識與認知之調查

臺灣國中生英語搭配詞知識與認知之調查摘要對於英語為非母語的學習者而言，搭配詞一直是搭配詞一直是學習英語過程中需要強化的一環。之一。英語搭配詞的相關研究大多以大學生作為研究對象英語搭配詞的相關研究大多以大學生作為研究對象，以國中生作為研究對象的研究不多。這使得國中生對搭配詞的認識、辨別與認知方面的研究存在很大的差距。有鑑於此，本研究探討台灣的國中生的搭配詞能力，主要從語言學習環境和搭配詞意識這兩方面進行研究調查。為了探討學習環境是否影響對年輕學習者搭配詞辨別，本研究以臺灣中部某所國中三年級學生為研究對象，並選出兩組學生作為研究對象。以英語為第二語言組（79名學生）之課程由母語為英文之教師以英語

講授；英語推廣課程組（81名學生）則進行每周兩次之英文課程，由母語為英文之教師以英語講授。本研究利用測驗題及問卷調查國中生的英語搭配詞的知識及認知。測驗題部分，主要參考過去研究之測驗內容，修改成符合本研究的目的。修改部分主要有兩個，第一部分是選擇題，另一則是錯誤修正（包括辨別錯誤和改錯）。兩個測驗中的測試項目完全相同，共有48個目標搭配詞，其包含三種類型的搭配詞：15個動詞加介係詞搭配詞、17個動詞加名詞搭配詞和16個形容詞加名詞搭配詞。另外，為了調查學生對搭配詞知識的認知，我們製作一份問卷請兩組學生填寫。透過問卷調查，進而瞭解學生對考試難度、項目難度的看法及其學習行為。研究結果顯示，學生對搭

配詞知識的掌握程度不高，能够識別錯誤，但改錯的能力較差，學生對搭配詞知識的理解並不完全正確，也發現學生對搭配詞之理解錯誤，以及過度自信。錯誤分析的結果顯示，在兩項測驗中，學生更容易於動詞和形容詞之子測驗中答錯；然而，問卷調查指出，受測者認為介係詞測試的難最高，這又回到學生的過度自信的問題。本研究的結論為：搭配詞的教學需要明確的教學，使用非傳統教材 (例如影片等) 可以幫助台灣英語學習者更能自然而然地學會搭配詞。
