因本研究撰寫期間遭逢歷史性重大變故，即於2019年12月Covid-19疫情爆發蔓延至各國並重創航空、餐飲、旅遊等觀光產業，全球無一國家倖免。本研究乃以墾丁夏都沙灘酒店為例-墾丁夏都沙灘酒店在2008年電影海角七號上映後因票房熱銷意外打開知名度，成為中外遊客爭相朝聖景點之一，並創造連續多年住房營收成長。然而自Covid-19疫情爆發後，觀光旅館業收入銳減甚至熄燈，墾丁夏都以其優勢再加上行銷團隊的努力，使得營收得以穩定持平，其行銷策略的制定，值得探討。第一章為以觀光產業目前現況及遭遇到之困境為研究背景及動機，採個案研究分析方式來研究墾丁夏都之行銷。第二章資料文獻介紹部份則是介紹星級旅館之等級及
