為了解決How to pronounce met的問題,作者Anu 這樣論述:

In his thought-provoking book, All the Way to Heaven, an Englishman called Anu, who coined his pseudonym when he understood it meant both the microcosm and macrocosm of life, explores the Universal Laws and how to apply them in your lives. In heart-searching detail he journeys through stories and ex

periences in his own life to give the reader valuable insight into the workings of the mind, the struggle for understanding and the ultimate joy and satisfaction when the goal is attained. Anu was in India back in 1993. He discovered that people there had difficulty saying his given name - Andrew:

it always came out sounding like Anu: they couldn't pronounce the d" sound. Anyway, he met a psychic one day who gave him many pointers for his life, including one of his two daily mantras. When Anu asked the little man if there was any meaning to the word or name Anu, the psychic got very excited a

nd animated In the endearing accent of an Indian he exclaimed, "Very good word, very good word Anu means tiny particle, like an atom: but it also means the whole universe " Wow Anu fell in love with this new name Now, all his closest spiritual friends call him Anu. As a kicker to this story, wh

en Anu returned to England in March 1994, one of the first books he picked up was about dolphins, his favorite of all God's creatures. Thumbing the first few pages, his eye was caught by a word: on closer inspection he read that the leader of the pod of dolphins was called Anu He just about dropped

the book in surprise and joy. What a fabulous confirmation of his new name Anu has had his fair share of the ups and downs of life, and he is open-hearted and open-minded in his willingness to illustrate how his experiences can possibly help the reader to come to a better understanding of this ma

gical existence called life. You'll meet Derek, a mystic in the guise of Merlin who helps Anu, he of the Arthur energy. You'll encounter Brenda and June, whose humble lives personify the modern-day adept. In relating true and wonderful stories, more down-to-Earth characters like Ozzie, Jack and Mik

e steer the reader to better understandings of the inherent goodness of most human beings. By overcoming sometimes insurmountable hurdles, these, and others characters, display an indomitable spirit. You'll learn about a special meditation circle which Anu was part of: this group of high-minded peo

ple would meet at Stonehenge inside the stones at the time of each full moon. The aftermath of one particular session provides the reader with a story worthy of any true-to-life thriller You will learn about the life of a Russian master painter, little-known outside his native land. The author met

this wonderful man when he'd just celebrated his 100th birthday The artist's story is a compelling journey through the turmoil of existence during the turbulent years of Stalinist Russia, his triumphant realization of a connection to an ancient world, and the magnificent artworks that decorated hi

s tiny apartment in a small town in the Ural Mountains. You will also be introduced to Carol, Anu's lifelong spiritual friend, whose love, help and guidance have played such an important role in the unfolding story of someone who can be said to possess the Arthur energy. For the true seeker of the

self, there are treasures galore in the metaphysical teachings brought out by Anu in the text. Discover a geometrical picture that fully explains the workings of the human mind. Find out how you can access knowledge of your previous lives, so that you can gain understandings of why certain things a

re happening to you this time around. It's a long, long road, with many a winding turn... So says the song. Anu takes you on a journey often referred to as The Dark Night of the Soul, where he explains that even the bad times are good when it comes to learning life's lessons. Often what is perceive

d at the time as traumatic and unnecessary, when placed in the overall context of one's life, can be the most important learning. This is one of the most important books to be released in the area of self-help since the untimely death of Dr. Wayne Dyer, a much-revered mentor of the author. He consi

ders that Dr. Dyer and Dr. Deepak Chopra are his most influential role-models in this genre of writing about spirituality, and he hopes to continue their undoubted legacy as the world wakes up and the inexorable movement towards the promised Aquarian Golden Age gathers pace.

A Second Look at Jesus: The Perspective of Experience

為了解決How to pronounce met的問題,作者Evans, John 這樣論述:

In the summer of 1978, I took a summer course in Biblical Hebrew at Harvard Divinity School. One of the questions that interested me was the Hebrew name of God. This word was clearly a central part of Hebrew theology and practice for more than 2000 years. I wanted to try it as part of my daily spiri

tual practice. The first thing my instructor told me was that no one is sure how to pronounce that Name today. He said that while the King James Bible used the word Jehovah, this pronunciation was almost certainly wrong.Looking further, I found that a few hundred years before the time of Jesus the u

se of the Hebrew name of God became more and more restricted until only the high priest was allowed to use it. He did this only once a year, during the High Holy Days, while standing alone within the innermost room of the temple. How and why did this disappearing act occur? I looked further still in

to this question and I found an interesting statement by Jesus: The Bible has evidence in John 17:26 that Jesus took a different path concerning the name of God. He said "And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in

them." This quote clearly shows that Jesus, acting contrary to the trend of his time, not only knew how to pronounce this name of God and used the name himself, he taught this name of God to his disciples. What has happened since? Why was I not taught this name and its proper use in the catechism of

my youth? With further research, I found more that provoked my curiosity. What is the explanation for the mysterious blessing of Jesus found in John 20:22? Here we read; "With that he breathed on them and said: 'Receive the Holy Spirit." Questions like these are answered to the best of my ability l

ater in this book. I was raised as a traditional Christian. I was fully engaged from an early age with the sacraments, parochial school and, service as an altar boy. During my first year of college, I learned to meditate. A few months later, in the summer of 1971, I was transformed by what I can onl

y call an irresistible force that delivered a peace that truly passes all understanding. The transformation of that spiritual breakthrough has never left me. Its significance only becomes more vivid as time passes. I have tried to follow up on that event and, along the way, met some fascinating peop

le. I learned to teach meditation. My meditation teacher then sent me to India to teach and represent him there. Returning home, I worked with a courageous Civil Rights' activist, Robert Pritchard, who was locked in a struggle to turn back a resurgent Ku Klux Klan. Robert took the time to befriend m

e and counsel me. One day Robert took me aside and recommended I "take a second look at Jesus." I respected Robert and took his challenge to heart. To a great extent, this book is the result. Traditionally, Christianity has not recognized the validity of spirituality if it is not closely tied to its

own doctrine. This attitude was simply not an option for me. The ongoing miracle of the surging life that was and is animating me could not be denied. Instead, I have closely reexamined contemporary and historic Christianity. I searched for evidence that my experience and the methods that triggered

it were consistent with my Christian heritage. I have found what I was looking for. What I uncovered convinces me that Jesus intended we all partake in the ongoing miracle of life with an intimacy and intensity far exceeding contemporary Christian standards. The author was raised by loving and in

quisitive parents. They did their best to ground him in Christian values, a love of freedom and a sense of responsibility. In 1970, John entered Antioch College, then in high tide of political and social ferment. While there, He learned Eastern meditation, and not long after, experienced a transform

ing inner experience. In 1972, he became a Meditation teacher. Later that same year he was sent to represent his teacher in India. For more than a year, he taught meditation there and worked with some fascinating people. Returning to Antioch College, John finished his studies, earning a Bachelor’s D

egree in Education. The author then went on to work in the Civil Rights movement with Robert Pritchard. During this time he was sent to observe and report on Klu Klux Klan meetings and cross-burning ceremonies as part of a larger plan to defeat Klan in court. Under the guidance of Robert Pritchard,

John was encouraged to reengage his Christian heritage, which has culminated in his book, A Second Look at Jesus. This book, the first by John Evans, includes elements of memoir, mystic poetry, biblical scholarship and practical advice on how to become more spiritually alive. There is also some seld

om encountered material about the Christian influences that formed Mohammed’s perspective as a young man and the one branch of Islam that has consistently sought peace. This story weaves the challenges of race, religion, politics and spirituality into an interesting and entertaining narrative full i

f playful good will and surprising conclusions.
